[Tip]Buying a new laptop? Let's decide easier !

Of course.Everyone wants to buy a good laptop - fast , long lasting , able to run the recent/future games , stylish , light , long battery life...etc. All the mentioned , depends from one thing - "How deep are our pockets"

Even if we know how deep are our pockets , there's another problem... which one of them to buy(HP,Dell,Asus,lenovo,Acer,toshiba...) ?!
It's not a big problem for someone who understands the basics of the computer or someone more experienced with that kind of stuff , but there are also many newbies which do not understand much about. This post will help you with getting the best for a specified amount of money !

Firstly we have to know our priorities for using the laptop , whether working with applications, surfing the internet , watching movies , for games or everything(mixed- every component of the hardware to be the best for that amount of money)

If we are going to use it for internet , movies or applications - we will seek for more powerful processor(CPU) and bigger amount of Random Access Memory (RAM). (check through notebookcheck ,look below how to)

If we want to play the modern games - we will seek for more powerful graphic card/adapter(GPU)(the CPU does play a role in gaming as well , but minimal )   (check through notebookcheck , look below how to)

As for everything , we will make comparisons between CPU's and GPU's performance the laptops have to offer.

For comparisons(between CPU's and GPU's) we will use the help of a very good webpage - Notebookcheck. To find faster the CPU/GPU model on notebookcheck, just write on google the whole name of the CPU/GPU (eg. Intel i5-3210m  , as for the gpu: nvidia gt635m) and search.
Keep looking somewhere between the first search results on google, there should be a result from notebookcheck.
There you can see the performance of your CPU/GPU , how does it perform on certain tests.

Eg: Performance of the intel i5-3210m :

So the i5 - 3210m has a score of 8917 points.Just open up a text document and write the points of every CPU of the laptops we're about to buy. So according to notebookcheck we will easily decide which laptop offers the best/fastest processor(CPU) !

(NOTE: Many people are determining the performance of the CPU/GPU according the CPU's/GPU's model number thinking the bigger model number - the better , which is wrong! As u can see in the comparison on the image there's a CPU(right below) which is slightly faster than the i5-3210m , but the model number is 2540m. So 3210>2540 but 2540 is faster than 3210. We can determine the performance of the CPU/GPU according to the model , but only if we understand them right .Eg. [3]210 - the first number shows us intel's third generation processors and the rest 210 probably the performance. This means that the 3210m is newer CPU than the second generation [2]540m CPU , but the second generation is faster  because of the last numbers 540 or similar. THE SAME GOES WITH THE GRAPHIC CARDS , JUST CHECK THEM ON NOTEBOOKCHECK!)

Eg. Performance of the nVidia geforce gt635m gtaphics (GPU)
(just copy and paste the GPU name/model on google and click the result of notebookcheck)

Something similar is with the GPU's . Eg.Radeon hd6770 is 15% faster than the nvidia gt635m(Globally - by globally i mean some games the gt635m may run them better/faster than the 6770 , but more of the games the hd6770m runs them better than the gt635m).

Another thing i have to say about the GPU's is that there exist more versions of the same GPUwhich differ each other. Eg. there are 2 versions of gt635m ddr3(with different clocks and steam processors - slightly different performance) and a gt635m GDDR5(which is faster than all of the gt635m ddr3 versions). The GDDR5 ones are not very common and are more expensive than the DDR3's.

As for the RAM and the hard disk drive(HDD) , they are on the second place of my priority list because they can be upgraded lately without problems!

Finally , we chose the perfect laptop for specified amount of money(point of view: PERFORMANCE).About the brands HP,DELL,ASUS...etc it doesn't really matter if you ask me. Every brand offers a good quality now days and in fact they're just building the cases of the laptops or something similar , also choosing the display , possibly the coolers...etc. That means if i have 2 laptops(eg. HP and Asus) with exactly the same hardware , the Asus may have better cooling(minimal difference) than the HP and vice versa.

Hope this helped you.

Good Luck :)
